Coolstone Rock Shop is a home-based hobby business owned by Barry Martin. While I have been collecting unique rocks since the age of five, they were mostly locally found items. But I have now been gathering more exotic specimens from around the world for almost twenty years, and my collection has grown to a substantial size. Many items are for sale, but don't be disappointed that not all are. Some are just for display and viewing. Hope you'll still enjoy your visit. Night at the MuseumIf you love rocks, make time to explore the Hillman Hall of Gems and Minerals at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh.What you see here is just a glimpse—there are entire rooms filled with dazzling specimens. We spent hours admiring and discussing nearly every one. The exhibits far exceeded our expectations—absolutely awesome from start to finish!

I've spent years doing stonework on the property including some unique projects like this Stone Window at the shop. Sgt. Stone and his canine partner Rocky, ( pictured above ) were added a few years ago as a salute to those in military service.
